This Privacy Policy explains how the Journal of Infusion Nurses Society ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use our website and author portal (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information you provide when you register, such as your name, email address, affiliation, and password (stored only as a securely hashed value).
  • Submission content you upload, including manuscripts, author details, co-author information, and related files.
  • Session and device information, such as your IP address, browser user agent, device type, and device name, which we use to secure your account and manage active sessions.
  • Google account information obtained through Google Sign-In, as described in the Google User Data section below.
  • Usage and analytics information collected only with your consent, as described in the Cookies and Analytics section below.

Google User Data and Google Sign-In

We offer Google Sign-In as an optional way to log in. When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides us with a signed identity token that we verify. From that token we access only your email address and your email verification status.

We use this Google user data solely to match your Google email to an existing account and sign you in, and to confirm that your email address has been verified by Google.

We do not use Google Sign-In to create new accounts, and we do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google service or restricted or sensitive scope. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in the How We Share Information section.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We also use optional analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Service so we can improve it. These are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can accept or reject analytics at any time, and you can change your choice later through the cookie settings link in the site footer.

If you reject analytics cookies, we do not load analytics scripts and we do not collect usage statistics about your visit.
